Fourth Way balance.

My limited experience with core Gurdjieff teaching is that it can be dogmatic and cultic; sort of "my way or the highway". This title and another by this author, Practical Christianity, helps bring balance to this extraordinary teaching. Anyone needing to "get a life" would do well to investigate Gurdjieff and His Fourth Way. One of the places to start could be with the Rebecca Nottingham.

Aliens and Human Beings?

This book presents all the evidence the people use to support a very controversial hypothesis, that aliens perhaps had something to do with human beings. Whether it is pyramids, UFOs, mythological accounts or even biology, I found each chapter intriguing, different, sometimes amazing, sometimes far out, sometimes incredibly persuasive. The author does his best to characterize all the evidence in support of this hypothesis in a rational and objective way. He does it fairly, and without prejudice. He asks the reader at the end to evaluate the evidence of each chapter and get a total score. I scored "plausible and persuasive." And, I think I started this book on that scale thinking this subject was frankly ridiculous. The author is not proselytizing nor evangelizing. This is an excellent and frank discussion. I really liked it!

Another awesome book by Akash Karia! Folks, if you want an easy, straight-forward, quick-read that *will* make you more charismatic, this is your book! I love Akash's down-to-Earth voice, and what an awesome teacher he is. I literally glean multiple nuggets of information from each page! My favorite techniques from this book and the hand gestures (steepled hands make you out as an expert, hands clasped in front of the body say you're nervous, and touching your face or neck says you feel unsure of yourself) and the reminder to ask the right kind of questions and LISTEN! It's so counter-intuitive but so true! Although it is difficult to believe, I love how Akash unveils that he, too, was a shy child and has overcome it! An excellent read!

If everyone read this book and followed the exercises the world would be a better place. Many of the tips are not new but they are presented in a very easy style that is simple to follow with nice examples. I particularly like the areas around likeability and authenticity. Little unsure about the Ha Ha technique around improving your sense of humour as there is nothing worse than someone with no sense of humour trying to be funny but that said it might be worth giving even that a try. Highly recommended.
